Find out about what I am doing...

Willow Sculpture Workshop

I have been running Willow Sculpture Workshops at various new venues over the last few months throughout the UK but still love to host the days at Castle Park Arts Centre in Frodsham, Cheshire. It is a lovely venue with a great, well ventilated room and bags of space. The cafe does super lunches and the cakes… well they speak for themselves! I never invite more then 6 people to attend and don’t dictate what people make, so as long as it is achievable in the day I am up for a challenge.

2 day Sculpture Workshop in the Cotswolds

Caroline will be teaching 2 days of Willow Sculpture on 9th and 10th August

Heights of Abraham Sculpture Trail

I have been delighted to make five groups of figures and animals in willow sculpture form that represent historical connections with the area. They are displayed around the park at the Heights of Abraham in Matlock Bath and can be viewed as part of the entrance price. The figures include the Regency woman on a donkey and her guide as shown in this image. This was once the way wealthy visitors (including Queen Victoria) visited the pleasure gardens at The Heights.

Spaces available in Feb Workshop

Due to cancellation I now have 2 spaces available on my next Willow Sculpture Workshop at Castle Park Arts Centre in Frodsham, Cheshire. Friday 18th February 2022. The room is large, with good ventilation and I request that everyone be fully vaccinated and should wear facemasks. In the event of cancellation due to Covid related issues, places can be transferred to a workshop later in the year. Further details in my Workshops section of the website but feel free to contact me if you have questions or would like to book a place.

Workshop Gift cards

If you are stuck for ideas as to what to buy someone for Christmas why not consider a Willow Workshop Gift Card. These can be redeemed at any time over the next 12 months to cover the cost of one of my Willow Sculpture Day Workshops held at Castle Park Arts Centre in Frodsham, Cheshire. I have dates available throughout 2022. All bookings are freely transferable in the event of any Covid restrictions.

My return to Castle Park Arts Centre

I ran the first Willow Sculpture Workshop back at Castle Park Arts Centre in Frodsham last week since the first lockdown. It was lovely to be back. I will be running regular dates there again throughout 2022. The room is large so even with the maximum number of 6 participants we can stay well spread out with everyone having their own table. There is an outside door which will remain open along with opening skylights so airflow through the room is great.

Basketmaking workshop

I will be teaching a Willow Basketmaking day on Friday 8th October between 9.30 and 4pm at the Cheshire Crafts Workshop at Blakemere Village near Sandiway in Cheshire. We will be making traditional willow round baskets with or without handles depending on how fast you work. I will provide an assortment of willow (some locally grown) for you to choose from so you can make the design your own using the natural colours of the bark.

New Workshop dates at Castle Park Arts Centre

I always try and upload an image of my latest commissioned willow sculptures so look out for my new stuff there.

Bodfari Woodland Skills Centre

Caroline will again be teaching a 2-day Willow Sculpture Workshop at The Woodland Skills Centre at Bodfari, Denbighshire. This is a beautiful venue overlooking the Clwydian mountains with its own campsite if you fancy staying over. The workshop will take place over the weekend of 12th/13th September 2020. Ideal for tackling a bigger sculpture such as deer, sheep or a small flock of birds. For further details and booking go to

Willow Sculpture Workshop update

These are difficult times for us all. I am unable to run my workshops at the present time but I can’t wait for things to change and to get back into the teaching environment.
