Basketmaking workshop
Beginners basketmaking workshop at Blakemere Craft Centre
I will be teaching a Willow Basketmaking day on Friday 8th October between 9.30 and 4pm at the Cheshire Crafts Workshop at Blakemere Village near Sandiway in Cheshire.
We will be making traditional willow round baskets with or without handles depending on how fast you work. I will provide an assortment of willow (some locally grown) for you to choose from so you can make the design your own using the natural colours of the bark.
This is a great introduction to basketmaking and requires no previous experience.

Willow Sculpture Artist
I have loved and been inspired by the natural world since I was a child and the ability to work as a Willow Artist and make willow sculptures representing the essence of animals, birds and other living forms brings me great pleasure. I love to represent movement and vitality in my work. My willow sculptures appear to have just paused in their setting before they are ready to move on. One of the nicest things anyone has said about my animal sculptures is that you can always see where they are looking!
